FLIBS 2012: Definitely a Show to Remember
The 2012 Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show is now in the record books, and what a show it was! After enduring the effects of Hurricane Sandy the first two days of the show, the weather that weekend was beautiful. Saturday's sunshine brought with it our highest attendance numbers for a single day in more than four years, and Sunday's visitors proved to be a very motivated group. Of the boats on display during the Ft. Lauderdale show, the CABO receiving the most attention was the new 44 Express. This newest CABO delivers the open feel and visibility of a traditional express, paired with the fishability and comfort found aboard its older sibling, the 44 HTX. (Click here to see new images of the 44 Express) Also garnering its fair share of attention during the show was the 40 HTX. Making its debut at the Miami show earlier this year, its wining combination of hardtop express design and pod propulsion has made the 40 HTX an extremely popular CABO in a very short period of time.
Several new international dealers made their first appearance at the show representing the CABO brand. Quepos Yacht Sales from Costa Rica, and YachtBrasil from Brazil both had a strong showing during the event. YachtBrasil sold its first CABO 40 Flybridge earlier in the year, and is excited for what the future holds for CABO there. Quepos Yacht Sales is looking to the 36 Express as an excellent model to introduce the CABO brand to their markets. Available with both standard propulsion and pod drives, the 36 EX provides big-boat fishability and durability at a small-boat price.
During the show, we were visited by many of our friends and customers that live in the northeast, specifically in New York and New Jersey. Our thoughts are with you as you begin the work of taking care of your families and homes in the aftermath of Sandy. We wish you all well.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our display during the show. We look forward to seeing you again in Miami.
