ENGINEERING & DESIGN

The CABO Design Team first brings their creations to life using state of the art 3D CAD models. From these digital images, scale models of the hull are fabricated then rigorously tested for performance and handling capabilities. Once the preliminary design is approved, full- scale models of the hull, deck & interior spaces are created. Following final approval by the Design Team, fiberglass molds are constructed from which the actual boat is built.

The Cabo Yachts Design Team   utilizes the latest in computer aided design software to generate plans     and drawings for prototype models.

Through the use of both Autocad and Unigraphics our design engineers create images  and detail construction drawings of the yachts.

Scale models give designers and engineers the opportunity to visualize the hull and deck, and try various window and bridge arrangements.

The final design is tank tested for performance characteristics. The tank test allows us to test the various hull configurations to achieve optimal performance and handling.
