To
Management at Cabo Yachts,
I'd
like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the
hospitality and service that you have extended to us during our
past few visits to the factory to observe the construction of my
35 flybrdige, hull #275.
As
a high definition cinematographer, I film and produce award-winning
documentaries about endangered marine wildlife, a job that has me
frequently traveling the globe. (This year I seem to be traveling
more than usual to places including the Red Sea, South Pacific,
African, Caribbean and Mexican waters.) Thus I'm unfortunately
not able to personally visit the factory as often as I'd like in
order to observe the exciting steps along the yacht's journey.
I rest easy though, trusting in the knowledge that everyone at Cabo
takes the utmost care in its construction.
During
each visit, we've been graciously received & Cabo employees
in every department have offered their kindness and cooperation
far beyond what I expected. The personal attention provided
- whether in selecting interior materials or making additions to
the design - is genuine, and all my concerns and questions are thoroughly
addressed.
I
am impressed not only with your service but also with the quality
of work your craftsmen produce. I am sure you are very proud
of them. It makes me feel good to know that the yacht I am
purchasing is not just another boat, but rather a work of art.
At each station along its path, each person who works on the vessel
clearly extends a tremendous amount of pride in his or her work
to make the very best product possible.
I
can see why Cabo enjoys such a superb reputation and I look forward
to further visits to the factory as hull #275 moves towards completion.
Respectfully,
Tom

Hi Allen,
I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for taking care of
the generator problem I had with my 35 flybridge a couple of weeks
ago when I brought the boat to Newport Beach for maintenance. I
was surprised to hear that you wanted the boat out of the water
to install a more efficient screen on the bottom and equally impressed
that you would go to that length to see that it was done right.
I would have to say, that type of service and attention to customer
relations has been my experience with both factory and support people
right from the beginning when I bought the boat.
I must admit that I am particularly fussy about the maintenance
and appearance of my Cabo. I'm the type of person who can be a little
more difficult to deal with and equally hard to please sometimes!
My friends tease me and tell me it's a disease (they could be right)!
I keep the engines and engine compartment in my Cabo as pure white
and spiffy-clean as the day it rolled out of the factory and it
always will be that way. I have had very few problems with my Cabo,
but those few have been dealt with promptly by people like Steve
Craig and folks who work with him.
I also probably don't fit into the normal cadre of Cabo yacht owners,
considering that I don't care too much about fishing, although I
did order my Cabo with most of the equipment needed to fish for
a small tuna, wahoo or salmon for dinner.
As a marine wildlife cinematographer, I spent the better part of
the first year with my 35 flybridge doing Hi Definition documentary
work in the Sea of Cortez. While working on a blue whale and whale
shark story, I spent as many as 10 days at sea at a time and far
from any support. Two of us lived on the boat for 5 weeks, coming
into La Paz or Cabo only 3 times for fuel or other provisions. We
then followed the blue whale migration back toward CA, again as
much as 75 miles off the coast for many days. The confidence I have
gained in this vessel grows with each passing month of its use.
The 540 HP Cummins engines give me more than adequate speed to get
on location when the spotter plane gives me an exact coordinate.
The reliability of those engines is of great importance to me because
we can be so isolated with the various types of wildlife we work
with. I have ample space for lots of HD camera equipment, diving
gear and accessories, plus, the boat is very comfortable. The water
maker has proved to be an invaluable piece of equipment as have
some of the other accessories we had put on the boat when we ordered
it from Picante.
It’s also very assuring to know that even though we have the
speed and power when needed, we also have tremendous range when
traveling at trawler speeds to stay out for long periods of time
while going greater distances. These many features are essential
when working with pelagic and other marine wildlife. We are scheduled
to work in the San Juan Is. next year with orcas and small reef
creatures. We're looking forward to using the Cabo as our work platform
in the Pacific Northwest.
I’ve also noted that while talking to other Cabo dealers,
they are all very helpful when it comes helping out in anyway they
can. As a Cabo owner it’s really nice knowing you have that
kind of support behind you!
Best Regards,
Tom Campbell
